Volume

Hey, things have finally slowed down a bit for me; I've been having issues
with audio just being too quiet on my hardware due to said hardware essentially
lying about how loud max volume is. Any pointers for where I could go to modify
the volume for the mixed output that gets actually played? I was poking around
before with various volume levels but I was never able to actually get volume
any louder; is this something I actually need to hit at the oss driver level or
is it possible within sndio itself?
